Did a quick ExtremeShop yesterday at the Lougheed Mall London Drugs location. It's been a while since I shopped there, since I don't live in that area and there are so many other locations I prefer shopping at. However, the Assistant Manager advised that they have made changes to their store policies and are friendlier towards couponers, and I decided to check it out. I'm glad to report I did not have any issues at checkout, was met by a friendly and efficient cashier and got most of the items I had planned to get. There were a few items such as bodywash, razors and drinks that they did not carry or were sold out of. I'm hearing mostly good reports from students and shoppers about this location, but I will try it out a few more times before passing final judgment/review on it.

Here's the shop:

  • 2 Welch's Grape Juice
  • 2 Sunlight laundry detergent
  • 6 Old Spice antiperspirant
  • 1 Reach toothbrush
  • 1 Advil (100s)
  • 1 Degree deodorant
  • 1 Gillette Proglide razor
  • Here's what I paid ($2.96, and I'll get .50cents back from the deposits):

I did find myself going with coupons to get other items which I ended up not purchasing, because I knew I would not use them, such as Covergirl cosmetics, etc. Even if I could get them free, I decided against purchasing them. I'll save those coupons to give to my personal consults or to others who can use them. I'm finding that my shops are getting smaller and smaller each time as I become more discerning over what I purchase, or because I figure I have enough of an item. For the most part, I'm shopping to show you what you can get and save using this method, and also to give these items away at classes, as donations or as gifts. For class students, I've written out the deals and how to get those deals on the Class Blog.

And yes, I do shop also because ExtremeShopping is so much fun! :)

I'm slowly starting to re-stock my stockpile, as most of you know, I've not been shopping as much over the summer and letting my stash dwindle to a more manageable size. Most of my shops are done in small batches as I dislike taking up too much time at the cashier and I'd rather get in/get out quickly.

This week, I tried to only get items I could get for free - here are the results:
Used a few FPC's at RCSS during their No Tax Sale days. I had a few more FPCs (Ziploc, coffee) that I decided not to use due to storage issues, I will use them at the next No Tax Sale days.

Used a FPC sent from The Little Potato Company.

Trying out Tresemme shampoo/conditioner and new Kashi bars (rasperry and dark chocolate). Little Mr Smith and I didn't care for the taste but Mr Smith and Miss Smith loved it. Got another free Advil. Paid nothing but tax.

All in all, a successful weekend for free groceries and product!
